Brașov Running Festival
We are honoured to have been, for the past two years, the youth partners of the Brașov Running Festival — the most important road-running event in South-East Europe and one of the most prestigious in the world. Now reaching its 5th edition in 2025, the festival was broadcast live globally, strengthening its position as a national brand and an ambassador of Romanian excellence in sport.
At a time when young people’s interest in sport and physical activity is declining, through The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award programme we aim to inspire a new generation to discover the joy of perseverance, discipline, and collaboration. For over a decade, we have supported the holistic development of young people in Romania, offering them authentic and transformative experiences.
In 2025, our involvement in the Brașov Running Festival was complemented by the charitable campaign “Run the Raffle – Fuel the Future”, carried out on the Bursa Binelui platform. Through this initiative, we offered the public the chance to win, in a charitable raffle, sports items signed by performance athletes, with the funds directed toward supporting the young people in the Award programme. The campaign brought together the sports community, companies, and supporters of non-formal education, demonstrating that sport can be a true engine for good.
- Over 300 Award volunteers recruited and coordinated across the last two editions, who brought energy, responsibility and enthusiasm to ensure the smooth running of the event;
- Co-organising the official opening reception, attended by the ambassadors of the fourth and fifth editions – Paula Radcliffe MBE and Paul Tergat – alongside representatives from European Athletics, World Athletics, the Romanian Olympic Committee, the public and private sectors, and Their Excellencies the British Ambassador to Romania and the Romanian Ambassador to Kenya.

Brașov Running Festival nu este doar o competiție sportivă — este o celebrare a determinării, excelenței și spiritului de echipă, un spațiu în care tinerii învață ce înseamnă colaborarea, reziliența și puterea de a construi împreună.
Prin parteneriatul nostru, ne dorim să oferim tinerilor o platformă de învățare prin acțiune, unde sportul devine punte între educație, comunitate și dezvoltare personală.
